On This Date In Chicago Blackhawks History

On this date in Chicago Blackhawks history,
On January 22, 2004 Craig Anderson collected his first NHL victory with a 7-0 shut out at the United Center. Anderson had lost not won in his first 14 starts to begin his career, but on this night he didn’t let a single puck in behind him in the net against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Seven different Chicago Blackhawks scored in this game including household names Travis Moen, Bryan Berard, Steve Sullivan, Mark Bell, Tyler Arnason, Igor Korolev, Ryan Vandenbussche. It’s safe to say there is a reason the Blackhawks were drafting at the beginning of the first round for years to come.
Anderson career with the Blackhawks ended at 12-29-2 before leaving the franchise. His career turned around when he ended up in Colorado where he collected 38 wins in 2009-2010, but on this day he got his first career win in a Blackhawks jersey.
