The Vancouver Canucks coach Alain Vigneault is going with the hot hand in net tomorrow night against the Chicago Blackhawks by naming Roberto Luongo the starting goalie. Coming into the season it was believed that Cory Schneider was suppose to be the starter, but Schneider has struggled when between the pipes posting a 2-2 record with a .313 goals against average and a .897 save percentage.
Enter everyone’s favorite goalie to harass in Luongo. In his last three starts Roberto has gone 1-0-2 with a 1.61 GAA and a .938 save % including a 3-0 shut out against the Colorado Avalanche. The question has been proposed are the Canucks playing the hot hand or just showcasing Luongo so they can dump his $5.3 million contract.
Hopefully the Hawks can get to Luongo early and often Friday night.
