Happy Super Sunday! Yes, this is a national holiday and we can thank the 1985 Chicago Bears for making this a party day for all of their antics and total demolition of the New England Patriots on that Sunday.
The Bears have never won the Super Bowl again and so as the years pass, the lore of this team grow larger and larger. Yes Coach Ditka was a great leader, but he never again would be carried off the field again after Super Bowl XX.
The point is as great as the 2010 Blackhawks Stanley Cup season was, as a fan I don’t want to settle for that being the only Cup in my lifetime and that the only time we see Quenneville, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane with a Cup, was in the summer of 2010. Their is too much young talent for this to be the only championship and it seems like this team is playing with a sense of urgency this season after two consecutive first round playoff exits.
The only Chicago team not to disappoint was the 90’s Bulls led by Michael Jordan, yes we were spoiled but six championships were pretty sweet.
As great as it is for the Bears to being considered one of the best teams of all-time is, don’t settle for just one Cup Blackhawks!!!
Have a Great Super Sunday and may your prop bets and squares be winners!!!!
