Happy 52nd B-Day Denis Savard

Happy 52nd birthday to Denis Savard the greatest Chicago Blackhawks center in my lifetime. Savard is fourth all-time in career goals by a Chicago Blackhawk with 377 only trailing Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, and his line-mate for most seasons Steve Larmer.  Savard is third all-time in career points with 1,096 and 2nd in Blackhawk career assists with 719 trailing only Mikita.

Savard was exciting to watch and would always make Pat Foley go nuts when he did his patented “Spin-O-Rama”.  Unfortunately for all the great Hawks of the 80’s era they never could get past the Edmonton express led by Wayne Gretzky and company.

Savard ranked 5th in my all-time favorite Blackhawks, and today he celebrates another Birthday!
