Happy Valentine’s Day!

Whether you love it or hate it, today is Valentine’s Day. Around the world, we celebrate love with a significant other or family and friends, or in this case, hockey. (Let’s not get into the different Greek translations for “love” today, okay?)

Like many of you, I can’t explain what exactly I love about hockey except to say – everything. It was one of those “love at first sight” things. But my Blackhawks story is a little different. I deliberately chose to follow the NHL and waited for a team grab my attention, which the Chicago Blackhawks did with their traditions, respect, history, and love of their fans.

From what I’ve been told, the Blackhawks have not always been the easiest team to love, but they’ve stuck with it and made their fans proud to say their team is one of the best in hockey (literally the best at the moment!). This year, many fans are saying the team resembles the 2010 Stanley Cup Champions Blackhawks team, and with such a great start, who could deny their charisma? They’re sure to attract many more fans this season with the show they’re putting on!
