Just Don’t Let The Streak End In St Louis or Detroit

The streak is going to end, everyone knows the streak has to come to an end.  The Hawks have been very close to losing their streak but have found many different ways to not lose games in regulation.  I know a lockout was involved but only losing 2 games in a calendar year is incredible and as cool as the streak really is, if the Hawks are going to win the Stanley Cup the streak must come to an end so that instead of the Hawks focusing on winning every game they can focus on playing great hockey on a nightly basis.

So, the Hawks are going to lose just do me a huge favor….don’t give the fans in St Louis or Detroit the satisfaction of ending the streak.  The Hawks face their toughest week of games since the Ice Show road trip with visits to St Louis and the Joe in Detroit.  Two division foes on the road are never an easy task but when you know the other team is going to throw everything including the kitchen streak it will not be an easy W!

St Louis site Bleedin Blue Lines put out a article about how you shouldn’t worry about the Blackhawks record which was easily debunked by the Hawks fans on their message board so as a Hawks fan not ending our streak Thursday night in St Louis is a huge deal.  Don’t let our streak end in a rival city on their home ice, and don’t give their papers and blogs more news to report.  Just let them get big numbers by writing against the Hawks instead of writing pieces about their own teams.

If the Hawks survive their trip by the Arch and get past the Colubus Blue Jackets Friday night in Chicago the streak would be at 21 heading to Detroit.  There has been a lot of chatter about the possible ending of the Hawks and Red Wings  rivalry.  Nothing would support the Detroit line more than that the Hawks aren’t their biggest rival by knocking them off during the current streak.  Go rekindle the Toronto rivalry Detroit! Hawks don’t go out on Sunday afternoon and let the Red Wings stay close when our talent is so much better than what is assembled in Detroit.

Let the streak end against Columbus, Colorado, or Minnesota just don’t lose it in Detroit or St Louis and let our divisional rivals pop the Hawks bubble!!
