After leaving the game against the St Louis Blues in a bit of mystery after the first period people feared the worse for Corey Crawford’s “upper body injury”.  The injury was not too serious after all, as Crawford skated at practice today and will be on the bench to back up Ray Emery  as he faces the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight.  Crawford started the Blues shut out but left after the first period with an apparent injury.  Crawford got credit for the victory his 9th of the season.  The biggest opposition this season seems like it could be how healthy the Hawks are when the playoffs arrive and no matter how good Ray Emery has been during Crawford’s absence it is always good to have two goalies ready to answer the Stanley Playoff bell.

Looks as though the Hawks dodge another bullet with Crawford like they did when Hossa was hit in the head by the Canucks Jannik Hansen.  Maybe this truly is the Hawks season!

On another injury front, day to day Dave Bolland skated “well” at practice today and could be in the lineup Sunday afternoon in Detroit.  He missed last night’s game and already is ruled out for tonight’s contest.

Hopefully we can make it through this weekend without any more injury scares!!!

Let’s Go Hawks!!!
