On This Date in Chicago Blackhawks history,

On March 6th 2012, the Blackhawks lost to the St Louis Blues 5-1 in St Louis.  The only reason we mention this loss is because it’s the last time the Blackhawks have traveled to an opposing arena and came away with a regulation loss and no points for their efforts.

Granted there is a little thing called a lockout involved but going a calendar year without a regulation road loss is pretty special no matter what Stephen A Smith has to say about hockey.  This was the 8th game in a row in what would end up being the rest of the regular season that Jonathan Toews missed.

Andrew Brunette scored one of his rare goals in his Blackhawks tenure and this was the only puck to get passed Halak in the contest. The Hawks got their revenge this season on their last trip to St Louis a 3-0 shut out which even though the scoreboard read 0 for the home team didn’t stop the Blues from chirping all night long.

One year has passed without a regulation road loss!!
