With Patrick Sharp out and Marian Hossa on the injured list and not playing on Easter Sunday in Detroit the Hawks had a vacated roster spot and called up Jeremy Morin. Morin has been on fire in Rockford and leads the Ice Hogs in goals scored with 27 and is third in points with 49. Morin has really stepped up since the Hawks that were on the roster left for Chicago after the lockout.  Morin has scored 17 goals and collected 15 assists in his last 29 games.

When Sharp was injured I called for Morin to be called up in his place, but the Hawks called up Jimmy Hayes who has played adequately on the Dave Bolland line with Patrick Kane.  Morin in twelve career games in a Hawks jersey has 2 goals and one assist.

Hopefully Quenneville will put Morin in the lineup tomorrow in Detroit on National television. Coach Q also announced today the Corey Crawford will be in net Sunday in Motown.

What do you think of Morin getting called up? The right move?
