Drew LeBlanc will make his NHL debut tonight in Edmonton and who will be on his line….none other than Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp.  LeBlanc and the Hawks organization  have stated that he might get his shot at playing before the end of the season, but that LeBlanc signed with the Hawks to get experience and learn.  Now with the injury to Dave Bolland and the playoffs right around the corner,  LeBlanc gets the ripe opportunity with two of the best scorers in the NHL.

The Hobey Baker Award Winner scored 13 points and collected 37 assists while playing for St. Cloud State this past winter, and now he gets to bring his talents to the ice in Edmonton.

The other part of the announcement of course is that Patrick Sharp will be back in the lineup, his health will be key to a long Stanley Cup playoff run and as stated here before he hasn’t had a hot goal streak yet this season.

One other note besides Dave Bolland not playing tonight is that Ray Emery gets the start tonight.

A meaningless game now has some interest thrown into it with the rookies debut.

Are you excited to see LeBlanc on the ice tonight?
