The Chicago Blackhawks Sign Finnish Goalie Antti Raanta

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed Finnish Goalie Antti Raanta to a one year contract ( contract terms were not disclosed)

There were several teams to have been interested including the Edmonton Oilers and Minnesota Wild, but in the end Raanta decided to sign with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Raanta was 21-10-11 last season while collecting an All-star appearance, league and playoff MVP awards.  Raanta had an incredible .943 save percentage this season.

Random fact is the Hawks have had great success with goalie with first name Antti!

The Hawks Ray Emery is a free agent after the playoffs end and Corey Crawford has one year left on his current contract.
