Yes, hockey is a team sport but that team is made up of stars and role players.  Marian Hossa is a star player that has played in the Stanley Cup Finals 4 out of the past 6 seasons.  Hossa-Gate became the story during and after Game #3 when he didn’t dress and Ben Smith did for the Chicago Blackhawks.

Hossa is one of the best two-way players in the NHL and the Hawks missed the defensive aspect of his game on Monday night.  Hossa hasn’t scored as much as he did in 2010 but he’s still a threat and seems to always score when the team needs it the most.

Hossa is listed day-to-day with an upper body injury.  If he couldn’t go Monday night the odds of him making it to the lineup Wednesday night are 50/50 at best one would assume. So do you think without Hossa in the lineup the Hawks can pull out a road victory in Boston? Here is the poll question.
