Two of the best players on both teams Patrice Bergeron and Jonathan Toews both left never skated in the third period.  Bergeron left the United Center in an ambulance without being touched by anybody.

Toews is a different story after getting hit by

near the head.  The experts say that the hit was ok because he hit Toews in the shoulders before he slammed his head into the ice.  I disagree it isn’t a safe play to be cross checking anybody that high even if the first thing touched is the shoulders.  Either way Toews didn’t play in the third period and is a question mark for Monday night in Boston.
