Day #2 of the NHL Free agency brings a lot fewer names available with some work left to do for Stan Bowman.
To Do List
1. Sign Marcus Kruger. Kruger will be signed, the only question is when and for how much! Bowman stated last night that they are close to signing Kruger but haven’t finished dotting all the I’s
Bowman on Kruger deal: "We're not quite to the finish line yet, but we're getting close." #Blackhawks

2. The Hawks have a lot of qualifing offers out there but the one that interests most Blackhawks the most is the offer to Drew LeBlanc. Bowman verified that they did give LeBlanc a qualifing offer and will be working on a contract soon.
Drew LeBlanc did get a qualifying offer. #Blackhawks will work on a new deal for him over "next week or two," Bowman said.

The wish lists have gotten a lot shorter after yesterday’s record amount of free agent signings in one day, but there are still a few names out there. A young center that is a restricted free agent that the Hawks could put a qualifying offer is Adam Henrique. Henrique is 22 and in two seasons with the New Jersey Devils has scored 27 goals and 40 assists. Yes, this seems like a stretch with less than 10% probability, but did you really see Bowman signing Nikolai Khabibulin last night either?
Other centers still out there today. Derek Roy is only 30 and coming off a disappointing season from Dallas to Vancouver. Another one that is unlikely is Mikhail Grabovski that was bought out by the Toronto Maple Leafs with 4 seasons left on a 5 year contract. Both are not likely but two names at the center position that are still available if the Hawks aren’t ready for the Brandon Pirri era to begin.
What do you think? Is Bowman and the Blackhawks done with free agency when Marcus Kruger is signed or is there one more surprise up Stan’s sleeve before the free agents all find homes for 2013-2014?
