What a strange week it was for Chicago Blackhawks hockey and Twitter accounts for the first week of July.
The story of the week for the Chicago Blackhawks one would have thought when they woke up Monday morning would be the 2013 Prospect Camp. The five-day practice and scrimmage session did go off and there were stories from how overrated Jake Chelios was even though most writers wanted him to be great, to how Phillip Danault looked like the real deal. From most accounts Stephen Johns was the MVP of camp, but it didn’t look like anyone at camp would be considered for a roster spot when the 2013 season kicks off.
Thursday night highlight didn’t have anything to do with hockey or the Blackhawks, but if your were on Twitter you would have thought that the Syfy Sharknado was the greatest movie of all-time. The jokes were hilarious and non-stop for the entire night and the next day. It was even funnier reading the next day that there was more tweets about Sharknado than viewership for the movie. Ahh the power of Twitter!

Speaking of Twitter, the twitter world went nuts with this picture on Twitter.
The rest was history with more people upset with Bieber than ever which is hard to believe! So here is the Sunday poll question for the strange week that was, and oh by the way Marcus Kruger signed his deal to signal the unofficial start of summer for the Blackhawks.
