Fan Poll: Drew LeBlanc

Late Friday night it was announced that Drew LeBlanc signed a 2 year contract after receiving a qualifying offer from the Blackhawks. The Hoby Baker award winner played in two games with the Blackhawks and really looked like he belonged. His first outing looked a little rough in the first period against the Edmonton Oilers but really settled in and was one of the best players on the ice in the third period with some great chances that didn’t find the back of the net.
LeBlanc centered the line with Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp on his wings and look skillful enough to play with these two stars while making some very solid passing plays. LeBlanc also played in the season ending Rockford game against the St. Louis Blues. LeBlanc never recorded a point, but did make a good showing in his two games.
LeBlanc is and older player since he graduated from college. LeBlanc is already 24 which really doesn’t leave too many years for development before the Hawks will want him to produce at the highest level.
The Blackhawks must have liked what they saw from LeBlanc to sign him to a 2 year contract, so the question is what do you expect from Drew LeBlanc in the years to come? Here is our weekly poll which this week is about LeBlanc.
