#67- Michael Frolik is the only Chicago Blackhawks player to ever wear #67.  Frolik Blackhawks career stats are as follows 136 games 11 goals 23 assists -5 rating. Frolik does hold the record for being the only player in NHL history to score two playoff penalty shots. Here are both of those penalty shots, one was against Vancouver in 2011 the other in Game #6 at Detroit.

Frolik was traded to the Winnipeg Jets on draft day and currently no Blackhawk is assigned #67.

1966-1967 Blackhawks 41-17-12 (1st place)

Leading Scorer-Bobby Hull (52)

Leading Penalty Minutes-Ed Van Impe (111)

Leading Wins by Goalie- Denis DeJordy (22)

The Blackhawks finished first place in 67, but they were upset in the first round of the playoffs by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 6 games.  The Blackhawks were an exciting team to watch, but when the playoffs came around during the late 60’s they always seemed to dissappoint.

It’s hard to believe that there are only 67 days until the Banner gets raised in the United Center!
