Chicago Blackhawks: 66 Days Until Banner Raising

66 Days Until Banner Raising Day (Photshop by Joe Kremel)
There is 66 Days Until the 2013 Stanley Cup Banner gets raised to the rafters of the United Center
#66- No player currently or in the past has worn #66 for the Chicago Blackhawks. Sadly when the #66 is mentioned the only thought is the guy who helped beat the Blackhawks in the 1992 Stanley Cup Finals along with Jaromir Jagr. Luckily for Hawks fans from that era the Hawks got some sort of revenge on Jagr this year when the Hawks didn’t allow him to score and on a bigger note, not able to hoist another Cup and had to watch the Hawks celebrate on home ice.
1965-1966 Blackhawks
37-25-8 (2nd place)
Goals-Bobby Hull-54
Assists-Stan Mikita-48
Penalty Minutes-78
Goalie Wins- Glenn Hall-34
Awards- Hart Trophy (MVP)-Bobby Hull, Art Ross (Top Scorer)-Bobby Hull
The Blackhawks finished in second place in 66 led by their legends of Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, and Glenn Hall. The 66 season was like the rest of the late 60’s when a good Blackhawks team couldn’t get past the 1st round of the playoffs, this time losing to the hated Detroit Red Wings 4-2.
Bonus #66- Earl Seibert is 66th all-time in Blackhawks history in points scored with 191. He scored 54 goals with 134 assists while playing 398 games for the Hawks from 1935-1945. In the 1938 Stanley Cup Championship run Seibert scored 5 goals and 2 assists in 10 playoff games.
