#57-No Current Chicago Blackhawk wears jersey #57

Two players have worn #57 in the history of the Blackhawks.

1. Karl Stewart wore #57 for 37 games in 2007 for the Blackhawks. The Left Winger scored 2 goals and collected 3 assists in his short stay in Chicago. Stewart would be traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning where he would finish his career in 2008.

2.

Ben Smith

wore #57 when he played for the Blackhawks in 2011 and became a playoff folk hero for his Game #6 heroics in overtime. Here is the goal!

Smith now wears #28, but in 2011 he became a household name in Chicago by scoring 3 playoff goals in 7 games against the Vancouver Canucks.  Smith scored in his only regular season game he played in 2013 in the season finale against the St Louis Blues, and he will get his name engraved on the Stanley Cup for his appearance in Game #3 of the Finals when Marian Hossa was a late scratch.  Smith will have an excellent chance to play the entire season with the Blackhawks in 2013-2014 with a strong training camp in September.

#57 Blackhawks All-Time Point Leader- Doug Jarrett  Jarrett, Blackhawks defenseman, played in 721 games from 1964-1975 scoring 38 goals and collecting 178 assists while piling up 608 penalty minutes. Jarrett played his entire career with the Blackhawks.  He also made the playoffs every season playing in 99 playoff games scoring 7 times and adding 16 assists.

Only 57 days left until Stanley Cup Banner #5 heads to the United Center rafters!!
