Dallas Stars: Jamie Benn

Jamie Benn can do it all. Score goals, make passes, agitate opponents. The Dallas Stars could put another feather in his cap, if he becomes their captain.

At age 24, Benn has gained valuable experience from his four years in the NHL. He has scored over 20 goals in all three full seasons, and buried a respectable 12 times in 2013.

Benn plays with passion, something that any team wants in a leader, he has the ability to rally the team around him, something he had to do after the trade deadline (and departure of Brenden Morrow) as the Stars tried to get back in the playoff picture.

With the Stars sporting a new-look roster on and off the ice, naming Benn their captain this season would be a good time. The franchise can build around him, and get back in contention for years to come.
