1. Jimmy Waite– Waite wore #49 in his second stint with the Blackhawks. Waite’s “potential” was the main reason the Hawks sent Dominik Hasek to Buffalo after the 1992 season. Waite’s career record with the Hawks was 14-23-6

2. Aaron Downey-2001 36 career games with the Blackhawks 1 goal no assists. In his NHL career 243 games 8 goals 10 assists.

3. Shawn Thornton-2003 Thornton wore three different numbers for the Hawks in his 3 year career with Chicago.  He played 31 career games with the Hawks scoring 2 goals and 1 assist. He had no goals and 4 assists for the Boston Bruins in the 2013 playoff run.

4. Michael Leighton– 2004 Leighton started 42 games for the Blackhawks going 8-21-10 before he became a goalie nomad in the NHL.

5. Carl Corazzini– 2007 Corazzini played in 7 career games with the Hawks while grabbing 1 career assist.

6. Jake Dowell-2009-2011 Dowell played 102 career games including a full 2010-2011 season.  Dowell’s Blackhawks numbers were 9 goals and 17 asssits. Dowell has played 54 games since leaving Chicago with the Dallas Stars and Minnesota Wild with little success only collecting 2 goals and 5 assists in those games.

#49 All-Time Blackhawks Point Leader- Darcy Rota  Rota played in 448 games with 117 goals and 110 assists during his Blackhawks career from 1973-1979.
