While most of the Chicago Blackhawks team rotates in and out every couple of years, the “Core” group has remained since the 2010 Stanley Cup season. Brent Seabrook is part of that core and once again proved that management chose wisely. His Final Grade of the 2013 season explains it all as Seabrook played an important, but many times unnoticeable role on the ice.

Last season, Blackhawks fans saw a bit of leadership from Seabrook as well as his consistent ability to defend his zone, and deliver big hits. After a great shortened season and playoffs, Seabrook spent the summer with his new wife as they posed for multiple pictures with their little baby in the Stanley Cup – the Cup that Seabrook helped win with an unforgettable Game 7 overtime goal against the Detroit Red Wings.

The most valuable aspect of Seabrook’s game is his consistency and reliability, which I think will shine through again in the 2013-2014 season.

Prediction: Seabrook will score 9 goals , 30 assists and a plus 25 rating. What’s your prediction for Seabrook for the upcoming season?
