Today’s Blackhawks practice featured a scrimmage between the Black and Red teams. The Red team was Marian Hossa, Patrick Sharp, Brandon Saad, and Niklas Hjalmarrson, and in net was Nichol Khabibulin. On the Black team was Andrew Shaw, Marcus Kruger, Brandon Bollig, Nick Leddy and Anti Raanta.

The young future star of the Blackhawks Teuvo Teravainen scored first for the red team. After one period, red lead the black team 1-0. Kyle Beach would add a second goal for red to be up 2-0. Team Red finished for the day after being up 2-0.

Black went onto play the white team. The white team featured Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, and Corey Crawford. Kane would score for white. Leddy would answer for black. Jimmy Hayes would tie the score at 2 for the black team.

The big story out of the scrimmage was the fist fight between Duncan Keith and Ben Smith. After practice both players downplayed the fight.

Other notes from practice, Kyle Beach impressed Coach Quennville with his play today. Jonathon Toews did not practice again today. Toews will sit out tomorrows practice.

That’s the news out of Blackhawks training camp today.
