Chicago Blackhawks Announce First Cuts

The first cut is the deepest. The Chicago Blackhawks announce their first round of cuts. The Blackhawks have released Wade Brookbank, Pat Mullane, Joe Gleason, Jared Nightingale, and Bobby Shea. The Blackhawks also sent David Gilbert to the Rockford Ice Hogs. Dillon Fournier, Travis Brown and Brandon Whitney were sent to their respective junior teams.

The roster is now at 47.

The Chicago Blackhawks take on the Detroit Red Wings at 7pm tonight at the United Center.
