Yesterday the Chicago Blackhawks announced their camp cuts. The Blackhawks sent: Mark McNiel, Garrett Ross, Alex Broadhurst, Dylan Olsen, Klas Dahlbeck, and Kent Simpson to the Rockford IceHogs. The Blackhawks also sent Teuvo Teravainen back to Finland. He will resume playing for Jokerit in Finland’s SM-Liiga. Ryan Hartman was reassigned to the OHL. Victor Svedberg was released from the Blackhawks organization.

Today the Chicago Blackhawks reduced the roster to 28 players. The Chicago Blackhawks assigned Drew LeBlanc, Terry Broadhurst, Phillip Danault, Byron Froese, Antti Raanta, Brad Mills, and Maxim Shalunov to Rockford. Brad Winchester and Theo Peckham were placed on waivers today.

Kyle Beach was placed on waivers yesterday. As of today Beach cleared waivers and will report to Rockford.  Mills will be on an AHL contract and Shalunov will be on a tryout agreement.

Bubble players that are still on the roster: Jeremy Morin, Ben Smith, Jimmy Hayes, Brandon Pirri, and Michael Kostka. Smith and Hayes are the best bets to make the team. Both players have had a strong camp. We shall see who makes the team between Kostka, Morin, and Pirri. If Coach Quenneville keep 8 defenseman, Kostka. Pirri might be behind the right ball because of his injury this training camp. It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

The roster was must be down to 23 before the season begins.
