8.  Patrick Kane will be the Blackhawks point leader this season

As stated earlier, the belief is that Jonathan Toews will be the leading goal scorer. Kane will outscore Toews in the assist department. Kane is known for his great passing skills. I expect a high number of assists and goals from Kane.

7. Marian Hossa will be limited this season due to injury.

In his Blackhawks tenure Marian Hossa has played 57 games in 2009-10, 65 games in 2010-11, 81 in 2011-2012 and 40 out of 48 games in 2012-2013. Hossa suffered a back injury last season. The team doctors state that he is completely healed. I think he will be limited to 55 games this season due to the back injury. He will be held out by the coaches to keep him fresh.

6. Corey Crawford will struggle out of the gate, but have a solid season overall.

Crawford has one greatest years of his life. His team went on a streak out of the gate. He was the best player in the Stanley Cup playoffs. He was the winning goal tender for the Stanley Cup Champions. He signed a new contract extension 6 years and 36 million dollars. With all the positives that came out of last season, the amount of pressure placed on Corey Crawford will be enormous.  He might falter out of the gate. Overall he will have a good season.
