Mikita, Hull, and Esposito. These are the names that are synonymous with the Chicago Blackhawks and will be forever. Owner Rocky Wirtz has done a phenomenal job mending the relationships with former players like Mikita and Hull, strengthening that bond many ‘Hawks fans have with the club’s past.
Over the past 20 or so years there have been more names that will be associated with the Blackhawk namesake. There have been many fan favorites that have taken the ice at both Chicago Stadium and the United Center, many of whom helping shape a generation of ‘Hawks fans like myself.
Here is a list of the top 10 fan favorite Chicago Blackhawks since the 1990 season. Note this is just my opinion, and I would love to hear others chime in on this matter.
10. Eric Daze

It wasn’t just the unique pronunciation of his name that had fans clamoring as Eric Daze bullied his way onto the scene. He instantly became a fan favorite with his intriguing blend of size and skill that was reminiscent of a young Steve Larmer. Daze was a tremendous goal scorer and was supposed to help keep the ‘Hawks competitive during the late 90’s and early 2000’s. However, back injuries kept Daze off the ice for the latter part of his career, but he remained extremely popular until his final season.

Two Stanley Cup titles is going to make you quite memorable. Sharp is among the handful of players on the current squad who have garnered a massive fan following. His under-the-radar and dark-horse status as one of the best snipers in the league have helped him create a cult following. Also, the women of Chicago seem to have “Marry Me” signs being manufactured daily to bring to the United Center.
