Bounty Of Youth Ready To Make An Impact
Over the last few years, strong classes of players have come from the summer’s NHL Entry Draft, and the 2013 edition was no different. The dreadful Colorado Avalanche look to get an offensive boost when first overall pick Nathan MacKinnon hits the ice, as well as the Florida Panthers with second overall Aleksander Barkov. In a suprise move, the Tampa Bay Lightning sent down their third overall pick, Jonathan Drouin, in a move that could be only temporary. Pairing these star rookies with the likes of sophomores such as Jonathan Huberdeau, Jonas Brodin, and Brandon Saad, the young guns look to contribute in places where the grizzled veterans cannot.
