Coach Quenneville jumped on the radio for a few moments this morning and though it wasn’t a hard-hitting interview here is some of the highlights from his moments on ESPN Radio.

-This was the best offseason ever enjoying the Stanley Cup and the fruits of the Championship.

-The Hawks players came in unbelievable shape and you can’t even compare 2010 to 2013 when it came to offseason workouts.

-Q feels fortunate to be in Chicago working for the  Blackhawks organization.

-Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals powerplay is almost pick your poison, and after the first powerplay goal by Ovechkin they may have given him to much coverage opening up the other players like Green and Grabovski.

-Joakim Nordstrom is a “Work In Progress” and he likes that he has “Some Intelligence”  He felt the 4th line played well 5 on 5 and was comfortable with them playing against any Capitals line.

-Q hadn’t reviewed the tape of the high hit on Toews yet, but the coaching staff said at worst it should have been a penalty.

-The funniest thing to me was that Q when talking about Green holding the puck in his hand started counting by Steamboats instead of seconds or Mississippi’s, Steamboats??.

-He emphasized the rolling all four lines and he was comfortable with any line on the Hawks going up against any line on any team.

-The loudest response was when asked any question was about Hybrid icing and he said it was” OK! I guess we will get use to it.”

-Most disappointing thing about the entire interview—> Not a single time was the word PACE used.
