Chicago Blackhawks fever is continuing to grow with each and every Stanley Cup.  Everyone loves a champion and following one and the legions of Blackhawks fans continue to grow from the 2010 Stanley Cup to the 2013 Stanley Cup.  Of course there are old school guys that have watched the Blackhawks forever that don’t like the fact that there are new fans everywhere, but hockey is such a great game that maybe even if they don’t understand everything about hockey it doesn’t matter because it means hockey keeps getting more attention.

Need proof of the fever, The Blackhawks played in the season opener last season against the LA Kings and the TV ratings for NBC were 6.62 with a lot of buzz over the lockout ending. The Tuesday night opener drew a 7.32 rating for NBCSN which broke the record for any cable opening telecast, and the Caps vs Hawks  also was the 2nd most watched regular season game on cable ever!  The Blackhawks and hockey numbers keep improving and the Hawks fever continues to grow! None of these numbers are too surprising after the Blackhawks vs Bruins broke tons of viewing records during last years finals, but it’s great to see that the momentum continues to grow.

Hockey is great, but having the Blackhawks as one of the premiere teams in all of hockey is even greater!
