Tonight the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the New York Islanders 3-2. This was the first start for Nikolai Khabibulan this season. Khabibulan played well in place Corey Crawford. Khabibulan will be compared to Ray Emery all season long.

The goalie situation was the only consist player in the lineup. Coach Quenneville mixed up the lines several times. It was so crazy, Marcus Kruger was on the second line. Michal Handzus played on the fourth line tonight.

The Blackhawks goals were scored by Joakim Nordstrom, Jonathan Toews, and Michal Handzus.

The Nordstrom watch might be over because he scored first NHL goal. I think Toews guy is here to stay also.

Tonight was just another reason why Chicago is better than New York.
