Dave Bolland returns to the United Center with his new team the Toronto Maple Leafs. It’s hard to believe it was just 4 months ago he was skating around the Bruins home rink with the Stanley Cup raised above his head and now after an extended Blackhawks career he is now with his hometown Maple Leafs.
Bolland was a fan favorite and had some memorable moments, here are some of the best moment from the Dave Bolland Blackhawks era.
Bolland shutting down the Sedin’s was probably his biggest task and one he took seriously on and off the ice!
Bolland was really huge in the 2010 playoffs and two of his biggest plays were shorthanded goals the most important one was against the Philadelphia Flyers in Game #1 while the 2nd one was probably sweeter when he beat Roberto Luongo in Vancouver to help lead the Blackhawks to a playoff road win!
Bolland may not have been truly successful as a 2nd line center, but there were times he would make great plays that would make you stand up and cheer like this beauty against the Nashville Predators in 2011.
But of course the way we all will remember Bolland the most in a Chicago Blackhawks jersey will be scoring the Stanley Cup clinching goal in Game #6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
All the love for Bolland ends tonight when he skates onto the ice wearing #63 on a Toronto Maple Leaf jersey at the United Center! Thanks for all the memories #36!!
