Chicago Blackhawks Milk Carton Vs Florida Panthers

When a player or coach doesn’t really show up during a Blackhawks game, they get put on the Milk Carton. As most of you know, people’s pictures used to be put at the back of milk cartons when they went missing. So the Milk Carton for the Blackhawks is more about who went missing or played terribly during the game.

For the first time this season we are putting the entire team on the Milk Carton.  Yes, there are many good things the Blackhawks have accomplished like picking up 14 out of 18 points, only trailing for 5:07 out of 560 minutes played, and only 22 seconds and an Alex Steen goal away from a 9 game start the season with a point streak.

The Team milk carton is for their 3rd period play this season.  They are now through 9 games played, being outscored 10-3 in third periods and have failed to score a third period goal in 7 straight games.  This is like the script from Groundhog day.  Blackhawks lead 2-0 after two periods, and then the Blackhawks give up 2 goals in the third period and end up in a shootout.

The Blackhawks in all their greatness and ability to avoid a Stanley Cup hangover are missing one thing from their early season resume and that is a killer instinct.  The offense is there, but the puck needs to find the back of the net.

This script is getting tiresome and almost comedic but not really.  Because of another team meltdown in the third period, the entire roster is last nights milk carton!

Who would you have put on the Milk carton versus the Florida Panthers?
