Welcome to week four of Blackhawk Up’s 2013-14 Three Stars of the Week. As the title says, we will count down the top three performers in the Chicago Blackhawks’ lineup over the past seven days, as well as give some honorable mentions. These players don’t have to be the guys with the most points, or ice time, but the players that really stepped up their game, and made a positive impact.

The Blackhawks split 3 out of 6 points in the last seven days, starting off with a win over the Florida Panthers in a shootout, and then falling to the Tampa Bay Lighting in overtime on Thursday. The Blackhawks’ most recent action was a 5-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night. It was one of the more frustrating weeks in recent memory of Blackhawks’ fans, with inconsistency being a popular theme throughout the last 3 games.

Patrick Sharp followed up a breakout week in Week 3 with another strong showing, earning him his second straight trip to the Three Stars. Sharp notched one assist in three games, but was strong throughout, and his line with Marian Hossa was easily the Blackhawks’ most consistent. Sharp showed great poise with the puck, and was a calming presence when the play was too hot. On the power-play, Sharp did a great job of generating chances, moving around and keeping himself open for a pass. The goals will come for the 31-year old, as soon as the rest of the teams’ offense shakes the cobwebs out of their heads.
