One word sums up Patrick Kane’s last week of action: Electrifying. Kane was at his best this week, scoring twice and adding two helpers for a point total of four. Kane’s hustle on the forecheck was a thing of beauty, especially nice to watch on his goal against the Dallas Stars. Finding open ice has never been a problem for #88, and playing alongside a great set-up man in Andrew Shaw made everything significantly easier. Kane put on a show in Winnipeg, with a shift that saw him dangle through 4 Jets players before getting tripped, drawing a penalty. Defense wasn’t something Kane had to worry about this week, as he was a +5, with a sheer boat-load of offense, he barely spent any time in his own end. Kane needs to be one of the best players on the Blackhawks at all times, and this week, he was. Consistency from the 24-year old is the next hurdle, but when that is cleared, he will be rocketed to the top of the standings, along with his team.
