4. Game 6, 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs First Round
After losing the first three games of the series to the Canucks, the Blackhawks found themselves in a spot that only the 2004 Boston Red Sox could feel comfortable in. However, they were able to win games four and five to keep the series chugging along. Game six wasn’t even supposed to happen, but both teams found themselves playing a really tight, contested game that ended going into overtime. Both teams scored in the 3rd and great hockey flowed well into overtime, where young forward Ben Smith ended the game with a wicked backhander. Unfortunately, the ‘Hawks went on to lose Game seven in a thriller, but this series was one of the most entertaining of the playoffs that season.
