5. Colorado Avalanche 17-5-0: The Avs are for REAL. They trounced the defending Stanley Cup Blackhawks this week. Remember how bad Semyon Varlamov was last season? He was 11-21 last season. This season he is 11-5-0. Remember when the Avs were crushed for picking Nathan MacKinnon. He has 3 goals and 10 assists this season.

4.   San Jose Sharks 15-3-5: The Sharks 4-2-4 in their last ten games.  Now there are rumors that people want Martin Havlat traded? Could the Sharks be unraveling?

3. Phoenix Coyotes 14-5-4: The Coyotes are 6-2-2 in their last ten. The ageless wonder Shane Doan has the Coyotes playing at a high level. One alarming stat about the Coyotes, Mike Smith has faced more pucks than any other goalie this season.

2. Anaheim Ducks 17-6-3: The Ducks are still the points leader in the NHL. They have won two in a row and are 5-3-2 in their last ten games. Ryan Getzlaf continues to be a stud, but why are they not number one?

1. St. Louis Blues 16-3-3: The Blues are playing great hockey! They have won 3-0 and are 8-1-1 in their last ten games.  Alex Steen has 17 goals and 9 assists on the season.  T.J. Oshie is a name people should recognize. He has 3 goals and 15 assists on the season.  Start singing the PRAISES for the Blues!
