14. Toronto Maple Leafs 14-10-3: The Leafs have faltered as of late, losers of three in a row. They are 3-4-3 in their last ten games.  On a positive for the leafs, they announced on Wednesday they signed Frederik Gautheir to a three year entry level contract. Gautheir was their first round pick in 2013.

13. Detroit Red wings 13-7-7: Remember when I thought age was finally catching up to the Red Wings? They have won three in a row and are 4-2-4 in their last ten games.  Darren Helm has five goals in the last five games for the Red Wings.  By the way Daniel Alfredsson returns to Ottawa on Sunday.

12. Montreal Candiens 15-9-3: The Habs have been on a roll as of late going 7-1-2 in their last ten games. Max Pacioretty has been on FIRE as of late, he has seven goals in his last six goals.  Remember Danny Briere? He has been playing well as of late too.

11. Tampa Bay Lighting 16-9-1: Did Steven Stamkos know he broke his leg less than two weeks ago? He was seen walking earlier this week. Meanwhile his mates on the ice are 4-5-1 in their last ten.
