Chicago Blackhawks Milk Carton Vs Dallas Stars

By Keith Schultz

Last night’s missing Chicago Blackhawk was Niklas Hjalmarsson (Photoshop by Joe Kremel)

During a 6 game winning streak on the road it’s hard to find milk carton faces, of course we can always throw #ProjectBrookbank or Joel Quenneville on it for playing Sheldon Brookbank at forward for nearly half of the season but it didn’t seem necessary.

Well after last night’s game it feels right to dust off the Milk Carton after the 4-3 loss to the Dallas Stars.

The Hawks played hard and put on a great show with a huge comeback that came up short.  The one player that had a noticeably bad game was Niklas Hjalmarsson. It was kind of head scratching that Q decided to bench Nick Leddy in the 2nd period when it was Hjalmarsson that struggled most of the night.

He did a couple of his patented behind the net blind flips that were stolen early in the game, and then he chopped down Cody Eakin late in the first period to give the Stars a powerplay that they cashed in to give the Stars a 2-0 lead at the end of the first period.

Lastly, and probably most viewed was his penalty on Antoine Roussel that created the penalty shot which also found the back of the net and was the deciding goal in the Hawks 5th defeat in regulation this season.

Hjalmarsson has played pretty well this season, but last night he was missing!

Who do you think should have been on the Blackhawks Milk Carton?
