The Chicago Blackhawks are headed to Dallas again.  It seems like this is a weekly trip as of late, but now it’s safe to say they know each other pretty good.  When the divisions were realigned the biggest question was who would the Hawks biggest rival be with the Detroit Red Wings heading off to the Eastern Conference and only 2 meetings a season.  The Stars are trying to be that rival in fact when they were in Minnesota it is safe to say they were huge rivals.

Not only are the Stars starting to become a Hawks rival, Antoine Roussel is becoming a hated opponent.  It started with an elbow in Dallas, but after some chirping between both teams that lead to a spirited fight between Roussel and Shaw to a huge hit by Michal Rozsival on Roussel to Roussel taunting the United Center crowd after scoring on a penalty shot.

Now to the game with Corey Crawford on the shelf, look for the Hawks to hunker down defensively in front of Antti Raanta, and with the game in Dallas the Hawks usually keep it more simple anyways defensively.  Everytime the Hawks get close to healthy (Bickell starting to skate) another injury happens (Crawford), but the Hawks are still 21-6-5 which speaks volume to the talent and depth in the organization.

Look for Roussel and crew to start out the game physically and it will be up to the Hawks to answer the bell and score early and take the momentum away from the Stars in American Airlines Arena.

Here are the details for tonight’s action:
