On this date in Chicago Blackhawks history,

On December 11, 2002 The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden 4-3.  Eric Daze was the star of the show by picking up his 5th career  Blackhawks hat trick in the win.

Daze was hindered by injuries but is surprisingly higher in Blackhawks offensive categories than most think due to the era that he played in with Chicago. Daze would end up with 6 hat tricks during his Blackhawks tenure which ranks him tied for 7th all-time in Blackhawks history.

Daze ranks 26th all-time in Blackhawks history in points having just been passed by the Captain Jonathan Toews . Daze scored 398 points in his career scoring 226 goals and 172 assists during a 13 year career.

Daze started out playing in the playoffs for three straight seasons but would only play one more playoff series during his career in 2002.  He played in 37 playoff games with 5 goals and 7 assists.

What is your favorite memory of Daze? On this date he scored his fifth of his 6 career hat tricks!
