2013 is coming to a close and for the Blackhawks it has been a good year.  They won the cup, we saw Crawford solidify the starting role, and we got to witness the evolution of Patrick Kane.  2013 had some great moments and we are going to bring you the top 10 moments of 2013.

Runner Up: Crawford’s victory speech

It was terrible, and yet amazing at the same time.  It wasn’t the Hawks proudest moment, but it still deserves a mention for it’s oddness.

When both Blackhawks goaltenders went down Antti Raanta came up big for the Hawks.  Before Raanta was signed, the Hawks didn’t have much down the pipeline in net.  Salak left after losing the starting position, and Carter Hutton didn’t look like the answer.  Raanta signed out of the blue and it couldn’t have worked out any better for the Hawks and Raanta.  The Blackhawks first shutout of the season was posted by Raanta; the kid has a lot of raw talent.  The other player that benefited from the call up is Mac Carruth.  He is getting his shot in Rockford while the Hawks borrow Raanta.
