24: New Jersey Devils 17-18-8: The Devils faithful were hopeful that Cory Schneider would be chosen for Team USA. Schneider was not chosen. The Devils have fallen on hard times; they have lost two in a row and are 5-3-2 in their last ten games.

23. Nashville Predators 18-18-6: Nashville is not enjoying much success recently on the NHL level, they are 3-4-3 in their last ten games. Most of the Nashville fans should be focused on WJC. Predators prospect Filip Forsberg is the captain of Team Sweden.  Team Finland is very Predators prospect heavy. Saku Maenalanen, Mikko Vainonen, and Juuse Saros all play for Finland. Sweden will play Finland in the WJC finals Sunday.  Predators GM David Polie came under fire this week for his Team USA selections.

22. Winnipeg Jets 19-20-5: The Jets were hoping defenseman Dustin Byfuglien would be selected for Team USA. Big Buf was left off the Team USA roster. The Jets are 5-5 in their last ten games. They are currently on a two game losing streak.

21. Carolina Hurricanes 17-16-9: Here I am Rock me like a Hurricane, the Canes have won three games in a row. On another positive note, Defenseman Justin Faulk was selected to Team USA. On a HUGE negative Captain Eric Staal left Saturday’s game with a lower body injury.

20.  NY Rangers 21-20-2: In a big week for the Rangers, they  made a trade this week for Daniel Carcillo. They surrendered a 7th round pick for Car Bomb. Ryan Callahan returned to the Rangers lineup this week. Callahan was also selected to Team USA despite being injured most of the year.  The Rangers also had Derek Stepan and Ryan McDonagh get selected to Team USA.
