25. Nashville Predators 21-22-7: The Preds were involved in the goalie carousel. The Predators traded Matt Hendricks for Devan Dubynk because Pekka Rinne is not progressing as much as they wanted. Dubynk is 0-1-0 with a 5.08 goals against average with Preds.  Is he is an improvement over their current goalies?? On a postive note, Shea Weber was named an Alternate Captain on Team Canada.

24. Carolina Hurricanes 20-18-9: Could the hurricanes be contemplating the unthinkable? Could they actually be thinking of trading Cam Ward? Well Darren Pagner stated it last week and TSN confirmed it, stay tuned on that one. Ward value would be low this year because he is 6-7-5 with 3.15 goals against average and a .895 save percentage.

23. Winnipeg Jets 22-23-5: After firing Claude Noel last Sunday, the Jets have rattled off three straight wins under new head coach Paul Maurice. Maurice is getting production from rookies Jacob Trouba and Mark Scheifele. The Jets are winning despite Evander Kane being on IR.

22. The Dallas Stars 21-19-8:  The Stars are still a year away from a being a real contender in the Western Conference, Tyler Seguin has gotten them closer. Seguin has been bringing his A game in Big D all season long. Captain of the Stars, Jamie Benn also lucked out this week. Benn had delievered an elbow to the head Matt Cooke of the Wild. Many believed that Benn would be suspended for the hit, however the NHL issed no suspension.

21: New Jersey Devils 20-19-11: Is Martin Brodeur costing the Devils a playoff spot? According to Neil Greenberg of the Washington post, that is exactly the case. In Brodeur starts, he gets more goals scored for him than team mate Cory Scheinder, yet they the Devils lose more with Brodeur in net.  How do you bench one of the best goalies of All time and your franchise leader? The answer is you don’t.

20: Ottawa Senators 21-19-9: The Senators have lost two in a row. One those losses came at the hands of the Montreal Canadiens and P.K. Subban. Subban had celebrated like he had just won the Stanley Cup. Sens Captain Jason Spezza didn’t think it was that bad, but Craig Anderson thought it was totally unnecessary.
