Corey Crawford finally got the bounce back he needed after his return from injury, as the 28-year old netminder earned the NHL’s Third Star of the Week award with a 2-0-1 record. Crawford put up a .916% save percentage and a 2.22 GAA in three games, and made many key saves as he improved to 19-7-7 on the season. Crawford wasn’t very busy against the Ducks (19 saves), but his 34-save performance against the Bruins a few nights later was spectacular. Crawford showed shades of the Stanley Cup-winning goaltender he was one season ago, and if he can continue his hot streak, he may be in that position again this year.

The ‘Hawks have a very busy week ahead, with match-ups against the Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota Wild, Winnipeg Jets, Calgary Flames, and Vancouver Canucks in the next 7 days. Chicago’s game against the Jets will be the last home game before the Olympic Break.
