19. The Philadelphia Flyers 25-22-6: Steve Mason signed a three extension last week. Since signing the extension on January 18th, Mason is 1-2 in his last three starts. The Flyers are 0-3 in their last three games and are 3-5-2 in their last ten games.

18. Detroit Red wings 23-18-10: The Red Wings have resembled a mash unit this season. It seems like everyone has missed time at some point. Jimmy Howard is back on IR with a lower body injury. Darren Helm, Jonathan Ericsson, and Daniel Alfredsson came back this past week. Johan Franzen could be coming back January 26th. The Wings need a big playoff push, they have two in row. Could their consecutive playoff streak be in jeopardy?

17. The Dallas Stars 24-20-8: The Stars are getting hot, they have won three games in a row. Kari Lehtonen had been a constant for the Stars this season. Lehtonen is 20-14-8 with a 2.52 goals against average. He has three shutouts on the season.

16. Columbus Blue Jackets 26-21-4: Don’t look now but the Jackets are 8-2 in their last ten games! In their eight game winning streak, they outscored their opponents 33-17. The hot streak started after Nathan Horton came back from shoulder surgery. Horton has seven points in 10 games since his debut this season.
