Jonathan Toews was a beast defensively, and in the NHL, defense leads to offense, giving him a solid stat line for the week. Toews recorded two assists against the Kings, followed by a nasty goal against the Ducks that was the dagger in the coffin for the League’s best team. Toews had 2 PIMs and a 61% faceoff percentage against the Coyotes to finish the week. Toews’ physical side was much more prevalent in this week than others, as he was making effective, clean checks. His fore-checking was spot on, and as always, the Selke Trophy holder was killer in his own end.
