If you are looking for a veteran presence that still has a ton to offer an Olympic squad, Marian Hossa is your guy. This will be Hossa’s 4th Olympic games playing for his home country Slovakia. In his career at the Olympic games Hossa has participated in 15 contests over three Games scoring 12 goals and 13 assists over his great career. Even though Hossa has had individual success his teams have not reached the medal stand in his three prior trips to the Olympics.
Hossa’s back was a concern entering the season, but it hasn’t seemed to be an issue and even with the opportunity to take a three week break, Hossa chose his country over rest so that has to give Hawks fans a lot to be excited about with only 22 games left in the regular season and the playoffs in the near distance. This is more than likely the last Olympic games for Hossa so even though I will be rooting for Team USA it would be great to see Hossa get a medal this time around.
The Over/Under for Hossa is set at 4 goals and 4 assists.
