Jonathan Toews for the 2nd straight time in a Gold medal game scored the first goal of the game, and this time it was the Game winner! Toews and his Canadian teammates dominated Team Sweden and the scoreboard reflected it with a 3-0 final.

Toews was the best player on the ice for this contest and his hard work paid off with the first goal of the game.  Team Sweden’s best player of the day probably was Marcus Kruger, but Kruger alongside his teammates Johnny Oduya and Niklas Hjalmarsson didn’t have a shot against the stingy defense of Team Canada and had to settle for the Silver.

Canada now has back to back Gold medals also becoming the first team to go undefeated in the NHL era, and Toews heads back to Chicago and will now strive to lead the Blackhawks to back to back championships!

Toews just adds another entry to what is growing to be a tremendous resume!
