The NHL is doing something it hasn’t done in years tonight and that is broadcast a regular season NHL game in primetime on a major network! NBC is counting on keeping the Olympic causal fan and colliding them right into two of the most exciting teams to watch in the NHL.

This not only is the first primetime game in a long time, it also is the first regular season meeting between Sidney Crosby and Jonathan Toews. Two of the best players in the NHL have won 2 Gold medals together but because of injuries they have never played a regular season game against each other.

These outdoor games are usually won by which teams bottom two lines play better so no better time than the present for Bryan Bickell to show up in primetime and prove he was worth the $4 million dollar contract he signed after his great post season.

Here is the viewing information for tonight’s action:

Game Time: 7pm Central (Puck Drop 7:15pm Central)

Live Streaming: NBC Live Extra
